Linee guida neuropsicopedagogiche per aiutare adulti e bambini ad affrontare il terremoto: uno studio qualitativo
Abstract
Il terremoto che ha colpito le regioni meridionali e centrali della Turchia il 6 febbraio 2023 ha provocato 50.700 vittime e 107.000 feriti, oltre a ingenti danni materiali. Inoltre, i disastri naturali hanno un profondo impatto sulla salute mentale degli individui, in particolare nelle fasi di sviluppo, con effetti che persistono a lungo termine. Questo studio qualitativo, condotto nell’ambito del programma “Coping with Earthquake with Children” basato sul quadro teorico del “Modello Sferico della Coscienza”, si propone di valutare le sfide e le risorse percepite dopo un evento sismico e l’impatto della diffusione online di un vademecum, composto da un opuscolo informativo e da podcast psicoeducativi.
L’indagine ha coinvolto un gruppo di 28 partecipanti adulti caregiver di bambini in età scolare (7-14 anni), provenienti da diverse aree colpite dal terremoto [25 donne e 3 uomini con un’età media di 39,85 anni (SD=8,08)].
L’analisi qualitativa evidenzia la necessità di un supporto da parte degli adulti per rispondere efficacemente ai bisogni emotivi di contenimento e regolazione dei bambini. Il miglioramento della consapevolezza interna degli adulti, delle capacità di comunicazione e il ripristino di una routine quotidiana ottimale possono portare benefici significativi sia agli adulti che ai loro figli e alunni.
